"Safari July until October" is the Swahili word for wonderful or amazing, and in partnership with camps and lodges, we have created this amazing and exciting dry season tour combining luxury with an authentic safari experience. The beauty of the savannah, plains, and crater can be appreciated all year round, but between July and October is when the migration reaches fever pitch and offers the best chance to witness the tens of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles stampede back and forth across the Mara River in search of the fresh short grasses. On our way north, we will visit the elephants of Tarangire and the large cats of the Central Serengeti.

Your safari will commence in the morning, with a pickup at the International Kilimanjaro Airport. Look out for your guide holding a signboard with your name. From there, we'll head towards Tarangire National Park, a 150km drive from Arusha, which typically takes about 3 hours.
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its diverse landscape and nine distinct vegetation zones. As we embark on our game drive, you'll be greeted by the majestic Baobab trees, which tower over the landscape and make even giraffes appear small in comparison. The game drive will continue until late evening, allowing us to explore the vast 3,000 square kilometers of the park.
The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which traverses through it, attracting a wide variety of wildlife. During our excursion, expect to encounter elephants, giraffes, lions, antelopes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, impalas, and an array of bird species – over 500 to be precise. If luck is on our side, we may even catch sight of the elusive tree-climbing python.
Tarangire National Park boasts the highest concentration of elephants, offering a unique opportunity to observe their familial interactions up close. Don't forget to keep your camera ready to capture the breathtaking scenery and wildlife encounters. After the game drive, we'll return to our camp or lodge where a delectable dinner awaits. Morning:
Depart from your camp or lodge in Tarangire National Park early in the morning, just before sunrise.
Enjoy a packed breakfast or stop at a designated picnic area within the park to have breakfast amidst the wilderness.
Begin your game drive as the sun rises, exploring the diverse landscapes and vegetation zones of Tarangire National Park.
Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife sightings, including elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, impalas, waterbucks, and various bird species.
Midday:
Continue your game drive deeper into the park, exploring different habitats such as open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and the Tarangire River.

After enjoying a morning breakfast, we'll load our luggage and embark on a game drive en route game drive to Kogatende Airstrip. From there, you'll catch your short flight back to Arusha heading to Kilimanjaro International airport or Zanzibar.
